Please join us in voting for Arthur Doyle for Select Board on November 4. Arthur’s experience – as a former Select Board member and chair, Conservation Commissioner, school board member in another district, and 35 year Town Meeting Member – is exactly what the Select Board needs. Milton’s town government is going through a significant transition, and the Select Board could have 5 new members within the 12-month period from April 2025 to April 2026. In addition, there has been turnover among senior management at Town Hall and with our outside Town Counsel. In the midst of so much change, the Board needs a member who will bring institutional knowledge and thoughtful and collaborative experience. Arthur Doyle is that candidate.   During his term (2020-2023) on the Select Board, Arthur served with integrity and worked well with his colleagues. A visionary leader, he focused his efforts on innovative, long-term strategic planning and pragmatic decision-making. If re-elected, he will do so again.  Milton residents can be confident that Arthur will consider competing viewpoints and always act in the best interests of the Town.  We both have served the town for many years in different capacities, such as Town Moderator, School Committee Chair, Select Board Chair and Warrant Committee Chair, and as longtime Town Meeting Members. Consequently, we understand the importance of having relevant experience and a track record of effectively working well on a committee – especially the Select Board.  Milton is fortunate that a person with Arthur’s experience, judgment, and commitment to the public interest has stepped up to fill a vacated term on the Select Board.  We are co-chairing Arthur’s campaign because we believe he is uniquely qualified to serve for the remaining 18 months of that term during this period of transition.  We ask you to vote for Arthur Doyle onNovember 4.

John A. Kiernan

A huge Thank You to Arthur Doyle for his commitment to the citizens of Milton and for his willingness to return to the Select Board. He has stepped up to fill a vacancy at a time of need for Milton. We are all too familiar with the oftentimes divisive politics which confront us, both at a local and a national level. What is needed is a balanced leader: one who is both an articulate spokesperson but, more importantly, one who is a good listener. Good speakers are plentiful, but good listeners are rare. Arthur has been blessed with both qualities! Once again, Arthur Doyle will bring to the Select Board his ability to listen, evaluate and balance the equities: to assess the risks and benefits of each decision and make a determination based upon all of the facts. With a long and distinguished career in higher education management, Arthur also has an impressive history of civic contributions to the citizens of Milton. As both past-Chair of the Select Board and current and active member of the Conservation Commission, he has a demonstrable record of success in bringing both common sense and balance to both public boards. What is of most importance is his ability to provide a calm and thoughtful balance to our governing boards. Arthur Doyle quite obviously has the keen intellect and unwavering commitment to the public good to recommend his election to the Select Board. What puts him over the finish line is his wisdom, his common sense and his balanced judgment. Please support his candidacy for election to the Select Board.

I am a lifelong Milton resident and a parent with children at Cunningham and Pierce, and I write to ask you to vote for Arthur Doyle in the Special Election for Select Board on November 4. Arthur's decades of experience in education include a career spent in higher education and prior stints as an elected School Board Member in another district. During his recent term as a Milton Select Board member, Arthur always made sure that the needs of the Milton Public Schools were a top priority. He also leads with collaboration and listening, which are essential for this role. As a Milton Public School parent, I know that I can count on Arthur Doyle as a Member of the Select Board, and I hope you'll join me in voting for him on Tuesday, November 4.

I am writing to support Arthur Doyle's candidacy for the Milton Select Board in the upcoming November 4th election. I've had the privilege of working closely with Arthur on the Climate Action Planning Committee, where he has been a steady and constructive partner. Arthur approaches public service with humility, thoughtfulness, and kindness. His long record of service on town boards and committees, including the Select Board, Conservation Commission, and Climate action Planning Committee, demonstrates his commitment to Milton. In these roles, he has consistently operated from the belief that thoughtful, long-term planning is the best way for our town to control its own destiny rather than be buffeted by events. In this unusual election to fill a vacant seat for a partial term, Arthur is especially well-suited to the situation. His prior leadership on the Select Board prepares him to contribute immediately, and his presence would provide continuity and stability when two more Select Board seats are up for election next April. I believe Arthur is the kind of person we need in public office: civil, experienced, generous with his time, forward-looking, and devoted to what's best for Milton. I invite you to join me in voting for Arthur Doyle on November 4.

To my neighbors in Precinct 1 and Precinct 10, I ask you to join me in supporting a candidate who listens, shows up, and leads with experience and heart. At a time when Milton faces real challenges, we need someone of Arthur’s caliber and credibility guiding the way. And yes—Arthur’s got friends who look like us, more than one. Vote November 4 for Arthur Doyle.

Arthur brings something rare in local politics: decades of relevant professional expertise, a lifetime of public service, and the kind of wisdom Milton needs. His record of leadership — from his career as a leader in the private sector to his years of service to the Town of Milton, including previously serving on and chairing Milton's Select Board — shows that he knows how to navigate complexity and put community first. I’ve gotten to know Arthur, and I trust his steady judgment and commitment to Milton’s future.

I am pleased to support and endorse Arthur Doyle for an 18-month term on the Select Board. Arthur provided excellent leadership in his first time as a member and Chair of the Board a couple of years ago. The Board needs a person like Arthur with experience in dealing with both local and state issues. I have known Arthur for over fifty years and can report that he is a person who will listen to all sides and do his best for the residents of Milton. Rick Neely

Arthur Doyle is a proven leader with decades of experience in policy, management, and strategic planning. He has led national initiatives and built strong partnerships across sectors. A longtime Milton resident with a deep commitment to public service, Arthur's running for Select Board will bring added proven, thoughtful, transparent, and community-centered leadership to town government. He will focus on fiscal responsibility and preserving the character that makes Milton special for all of us - while planning smartly for the future. With a career built on collaboration and results, Arthur is ready to serve with vision, integrity, and action.

I have always felt fortunate to live in a town where so many talented residents are willing to contribute their time and impressive skills to help keep Milton a desirable town for our families! I have been active in town myself serving in various capacities for more than 3 decades, including as a Town Meeting Member (30+ Years), School Committee Member (7 Years), Town Moderator (14 Years) and currently as Chairman of the Fire Station Building Committee (8 Years). When you are this involved, you notice and appreciate others who are also very vested in the town’s success. In my opinion, Arthur Doyle is a standout in that regard! We have 2 new members recently elected to the Select Board. This past August a member unexpectedly resigned, creating an opening to be filled in a Special Election on November 4th. Also, one of our current Select Board members will likely be stepping down from the Board at the end of his current term. In all my years in town there has never been a more important time to Elect someone with experience, relevant skills and a proven ability to work well with others. Among other experiences, Arthur served well on our Select Board and always worked well with the other members. Please join me in supporting and electing Arthur Doyle in the special election on Nov. 4th 2025!

As many of you may know, a Select Board seat has been vacated mid-term, and a special election for the seat will take place on November 4. I have had the privilege and pleasure of serving with Arthur Doyle on the Select Board and believe Arthur is uniquely qualified to finish out the vacated term. It generally takes new members a year to settle into the role, and this requires a level of dedication akin to full-time work. Arthur's familiarity with the processes and finances of the town and his working relationships with staff, particularly Town Administrator Nicholas Milano, would allow the Select Board to operate seamlessly during the remainder of the vacated term. His presence on the Board would provide continuity and a bank of knowledge for current members. As a colleague, Arthur was available to all board members, open to ideas, and one of the most innovative people with whom I have worked. He presented incisive question and insights that enhanced the Board's decision-making. Residents benefited not only from Arthur's long tenure in Milton and diverse life and professional experience, but also from his compassionate concern. Always interested in and eager to listen to others' viewpoints and experience, he sets people at ease and works effectively with a variety of personalities. You will always get well-considered, non-judgmental, and on-point responses from Arthur that put the best interests of the Town front and center. Please join me in voting for Arthur Doyle on November 4. Melinda Collins

I write to applaud former Select Board member Arthur Doyle for his willingness to respond to calls that he seek to complete the term occasioned by a recent resignation on the Select Board. His is an example of service in the public interest at its finest. With a relatively new Board at present, and the possibility of one or two new members being elected in the April 2026 Town Election, his experience as a recent Board member during 2020-2023, including as Board Chair, will be invaluable to the Board and to our town over the approximately eighteen months of the current vacancy. As a former Park Commissioner, and having served alongside Arthur as a Town Meeting Member, I have witnessed his grasp of issues and his constructive involvement in solutions to advance our community as a whole. He is highly regarded as being a thoughtful listener, decisive, and fair minded in his demonstrated commitment to our town as evidenced throughout his extensive civic and community service of more than three decades. Please join me in casting your vote for Arthur on November 4. With appreciation, Robert J. Bent

Arthur Doyle has my vote for Select Board. Based on my personal experience working with Arthur when he previously served on Milton's Select Board during the first part of my time serving on the School Committee, I am voting for Arthur with total confidence that he will serve with integrity in a manner that reduces polarization in Milton while bringing practical solutions to the challenges we face.  Arthur's track record as a leader is fundamentally responsible and strategic, while he is also known for his hallmarks of being decent, thoughtful, and kind. He brings an even temperament, rich experience serving the Town of Milton, and no political agenda. Arthur listens with an open mind to all perspectives on complex issues. His experience both as a professional and public servant prepares him to support the leadership transition underway with two new Select Board members elected last spring and two more seats on the ballot this coming April. I appreciate him for stepping up to serve again when Milton needs his leadership.
